The Rusty Kiln blends centuries old craftsmanship with contemporary passion.
Wendy-Myra Tipper formerly trained in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter at Toye, Kenning & Spencer Ltd, holders of a Royal Warrant by HM the Queen during Wendy’s time there.
Wendy specialises in miniature pet portraits hand painted onto vitreous enamel, and each jewellery piece celebrates the bond between animals and their humans. It also celebrates the legacy left by Wendy’s late father, Worcester Artist Graham Payne.
Formerly in Wendy’s career, many years were dedicated to portraying show dogs, exhibiting under the umbrella of Canine Collections at events such as Crufts and The World Dog show at the RAI convention centre in Amsterdam.
All pooches can be commissioned at The Rusty Kiln, indeed any pet can be commissioned, the most unusual being a pair of earrings portraying a cockatiel and a goat!
Wendy also paints in other mediums as seen on the gallery of images, with a preference of capturing special moments in time.
